Who they are
CASA Tiny Houses builds tiny homes on wheels at a workshop on Lenco Crescent, Landsborough, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The team says it has built tiny houses since 2020 and has lived in one itself. The company, CASA Tiny Houses Pty Ltd, has held its ABN since August 2019.
What they make
Eight models on galvanised steel, road-registrable tri-axle trailers with a VIN, from the 6 m Driftway to the 10 m Meadow with three bedrooms on a 3 m wide trailer. Frames are Truecore steel with Colorbond Trimdeck roof and walls and R2.5 wool insulation. Each model comes in a Standard and a Premium specification, and a build takes about 8 to 12 weeks.
What the price covers
Published 'From' prices run from $102,900 for the Standard Driftway to $207,000 for the Standard Meadow, with Premium prices higher. The pages do not say whether GST, delivery or set-up are included, so ask for a written quote to your site. Homes connect to water by a garden hose inlet and to power by an inlet, like a caravan.
Installing one in Queensland
CASA delivers and sets the home up on site itself. Because it stays on its trailer, there is no crane or footing design in the usual sense, but the pad must be level and the access clear of branches. A licensed electrician and plumber connect power, sewer or septic, and council rules on living in a home on wheels on a residential lot vary, so check with your council first.
Who it suits
Buyers after a tiny home on wheels with published prices and a Queensland workshop they can visit, including families who need up to three bedrooms.
Worth checking
No written warranty is published on the site, and the price pages do not state GST or delivery. Ask for both in writing.
