Aussie Tiny Houses

  • Good for: A wide range of tiny homes on wheels with turn-key prices
  • Good for: Buyers wanting a lock-up or shell stage to finish themselves

Aussie Tiny Houses has designed and built tiny houses on wheels at Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast since 2017, and says it has completed more than 650 homes for buyers across Australia. The range has twelve in-house designs split into loft bedroom models, ground-level bedroom models and BnB models, from the 6 metre Gunnamatta to the 10 by 3 metre Peregian with three sleeping areas. Turn-key prices for each model are published on its pages, and buyers can also choose a lock-up or shell stage and finish the rest themselves. Homes use an engineered steel frame on a custom trailer, Colorbond roof and wall cladding, and certified gas and electrical systems, with off-grid packages available. The factory runs several builds at once and keeps display homes to walk through by appointment. Delivery is arranged through an insured towing partner anywhere in Australia, and interstate buyers can claim a return flight to visit.

The straight answer

Researched 15 Oct 2026 from Aussie Tiny Houses' own site and the public registers.

Who they are

Aussie Tiny Houses designs and builds tiny houses on wheels at Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast. It has traded since 2017, which matches its ABN, and says it has built more than 650 homes for buyers across Australia. It won the Clean Technology category at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards in 2021 and 2023.

What they make

Twelve in-house designs, 6 m to 10 m long, with loft-bedroom, ground-floor-bedroom and BnB layouts, plus a 10 m by 3 m range on a heavier trailer. Frames are engineered steel on a custom trailer, with Colorbond roof and wall cladding and cedar feature options. Off-grid packages cover solar, water tanks, greywater and composting toilets.

What the price covers

Turn-key prices are published on each model page, from $109,900 for the 6 m Gunnamatta to $195,900 for the Peregian 10x3. Lock-up and shell stages are also offered for buyers who want to finish the inside. Delivery is extra, and decks and other outside structures are not included. Payment runs in five 20 percent stages.

Installing one in Queensland

The homes are sold as caravans on a registered trailer, not as Class 1a buildings, and the company arranges delivery through an insured towing partner. There are no footings or crane: the house is parked and plugged in to a 20 amp outlet and a garden hose connection. Sewer or septic connection needs a licensed plumber and council permit. Whether you can live in it full-time is a council question, and the maker says so.

Who it suits

Buyers who want a movable home they can see priced turn-key, people on rural land or in tiny-home communities, and short-stay hosts using the BnB models.

Worth checking

A caravan is not a Class 1a dwelling: check with your council how long someone can live in one on your lot before you buy. The maker publishes no structural warranty of its own, only supplier warranties on items such as windows and solar. Its FAQ lists road limits of 2.5 m wide and 4.5 t and says no special permits are needed to move a house, but the 10x3 range is 3 m wide on a trailer rated to 10 t, so ask how those are transported and what that delivery costs.

LicenceNo QBCC number on the site and no match for Aussie Tiny Houses on the QBCC licensed contractors register (open data, searched 15 Oct 2026). The homes are built on trailers and sold as caravans with a VIN pre-registered with Queensland TMR, so the maker does not present them as building work. Any deck, footing, plumbing or sewer connection on site is for the buyer to arrange with a licensed trade.

No maker pays to be listed or ranked, and every list is sorted by price, never by who pays. This isn't every maker in the market yet: missing one? Say which. Prices and sizes are the makers' own, read from their websites on the date shown, and makers change them: check with the maker before you buy. Installed prices are estimates for an owner builder, inc GST, from the install cost calculator; a licensed builder adds about $10,000. Is a listing yours, or wrong?
